Soldier/mage/thing I’ve been painting on and off for a few hours. Super lightly shaded, thinking more about texture and detailing work. Update soon.
I don’t usually do this kind of thing, (hard-edged, industrial design-y stuff) because I don’t think I’m very good (read: practiced) at it, What do you lot think?
It’s super simple, there’s only simple opacity-based shading, but I’m happy with it, for as simple as it is. I’ll turn it into something, at some point. when there’s time.

Time for more uploads! This was a birthday card I made for my brother this year. The Metal Gear series is his favorite game and he’s the reason it’s mine as well so it’s one in a long, long list of Metal Gear in-jokes he and I have.

You’ll probably notice this is somewhere further down in the history. Well, this guy, the British one and 5 more are all getting revamped and put into a second comic project. Yeah, there are two now. There goes my social life. You can see a lot of the differences. Mostly in the face, but the intent is to make the characters a lot less cartoony while still retaining the style. Also…my general skills have gotten better in the 2ish years since I drew the first one.
So, among all the webcomic work I’m doing (3 months of buffer done! woo!) I’ve still been managing to do other things to keep my skills up. Another Joker.
