It’s coming. It’s coming. It’s coming.
Alright guys. Some friends of mine have put together a great piece of independent film. It’s called In the Dead of Summer and while a lot of zombie movies and shows and books are all about how we need to kill zombies or survive in a world filled with zombies this movie takes a different approach.
It’s about the slow decline into becoming a zombie.
They’re funded, yes, but they’ve instituted a stretch goal. If they get to $6,700 by the end of their funding period, creators Junella Gabriel and Lucas Donnan will shave their heads while their director of cinematography films it in the vein of famous “shaving my head makes me a baddass” scenes from pop culture.
Because I believe in these people and this film so much I’ve instituted my own stretch goal. If you guys can get it up to $7,000 by the end of funding I’ll shave my head too. And for every $100 after that I’ll think of something equally crazy to do.
GET FUNDING! GIVE UNTIL YOU BLEED!
Oh hey, Tumblr, long time no see!
Because I get bored at work where there are plentiful dry erase markers and many whiteboards with Game of Thrones references on them.
Someone had erased a whole white board which had become populated with the Raines of Castamere lyrics and all the house sayings and whatnot, and then they erased it again, so I put this up.
I don’t usually do this kind of thing, (hard-edged, industrial design-y stuff) because I don’t think I’m very good (read: practiced) at it, What do you lot think?
It’s super simple, there’s only simple opacity-based shading, but I’m happy with it, for as simple as it is. I’ll turn it into something, at some point. when there’s time.
Because a) this guy was begging to be sketched, all posed out like that and b) everyone is more dapper with a tophat.
